{GD} DTAS - North American DTAS Server

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. - Capture time increase for each additional defender in range: 10 seconds
- Strong Defense: Disabled (Capture always possible)
- Minimum Attackers required to capture: 2 players

small comments on camos:

-DM-INF-GreatInn-Lite.unr: Why not use urban camos? Opfor Urban grey, US tigerstripe Urban, Russia MVD Blue?

-DM-INF-KosovoNight.unr, DM-INF-NightWater.unr, EAS-INF-TuscanyNight: don't use the opfor back camo?

-DM-INF-SKTACTICS.unr Use 2 desert camos?

-EAS-INF-Mostar.unr Take something darker than Germany - Flecktarn? UK woodland?

-DM-Inf-TigerHunt[v2].unr The 2 camo are too close to each other. Replace UK woodland by ??? Russia Spetsnaz Green?


EDIT: is EAS-INF-Bagdadi fixed? (more than 1 entry point at one end of the map)

remove DM-INF-TexasBank][-FIX.unr and replace by Thunderball2 (I just dont like texasbank)

I guess you like DM-INF-SicilyNight/EAS-INF-TuscanyNight and DM-INF-Dockside design a lot ;)

Again: not sure EAS-INF-ReactorSector46K make a great DTAS map

Great news, and great choice of maps geo.
Few comments :
- there a fixed version for DesertTacticsdawn which i sent to zirb. I thought he was supposed to release it but apparently he vanished again, maybe you should try to contact him for it.
-i also made a dtas version of kasbah, which hasn't been released yet (the default tdm one had problems with spawns), maybe i could send it to you.
- i'd really like to see a 'no scope' RTK, using weapon setup (but only for this map)

I personally despise Bagdadi - the huge block actors and broken roofs kind of detract from any good gameplay.

I also hate Mostar for DTAS, but since it seems to be popular, I won't raise too much commotion.

(I love how the screenshot of Tuscany Night is 3 lights on a black background :p)

The only reason I like mostar for dtas is because when you get the spawn in the courtyard where the helicopter is its kind of like eas :p

For your information, camos where selected with these criteria in mind (among others)
- Map actual location (russia, US, etc.)
- Usability of the camo (e.g. no bright desert camo in sicily night)
- Advantage between camos on the map
- Ease of identification

So I felt, for example, it was natural to have the UK camo (the only we have) in GreatInn-Lite

Please shorten time limit to 8 minutes. 12 minutes is too long especially x 7 rounds = 84 minutes. An HOUR and a HALF per map.

8 min isn't so long, but still long enough for big maps like tiger hunt. If possible it would be nice to have even shorter time limit for small maps.

Only Birkby might need more than 8 minutes to attack. But it totally sucks to have rounds be much longer than needed only because of one map.

Again, is there a way to length the round time on select maps and shorten it on the rest?

Geo, there IS indeed a way to set a per map round time, you should look into that. You have to edit all map times in the locationschedule ini and activate this function in dtas ini :
bUseMapTimes=True
Be careful though, because the locationschedule ini has map times for all gametypes, so don't edit the wrong one (to be sure i put the same value for all gametypes on my server)

(And keihas, 8 minutes for tigerhunt is not enough ;))
