UT Black Screen problems

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

When I go to start up UT, it appears to be loading normally, though very slowly, and then when the opening video is supposed to come up, the screen just goes blank and I have to use CTRL-ALT-DEL to get out of the game. Please help me. I am running Windows 98 on an AMD K6-2 380 Mhz, 64MB of RAM, and a Voodoo3 2000 PCI video card.

PS: This is not my first time trying to use UT. I installed it before and it had worked, but it still loaded very slowly.

When you installed game, did you do only minimum install or you installed everything ? Sometimes it help to install minimum install, sometimes help to install maximum instalation :).
