Thanks! I think that's one of the few photos that I had planned that came out exactly as I wanted. Usually I just shoot shoot shoot and out of all the shots of the day there is something worth while.

Your shot is great I love how everyone is like a silhouette and the color and lines are great. What's your Flickr address. I want to add you.:)

Ahh thank you! As a pre-warning my Flickr is kinda "conceptual" as the majority of it is school work which encourages that. But knock yourself out. :)

Taken a while back. A temporarily abandoned warehouse me and a friend explored had a digger inside.

It has arrived.

Here's the first couple shots from my new D300. I was playing with high ISO's to see if it's as
good as they say. I think it is. Both shots below were taking at 1000 ISO. Also both shots
were taken in monochrome mode. I was playing with that too because my old D70 didn't have that
mode and all B&W shots had to be done in post-processing. These two are straight from the camera
with no post-processing other the size reduction on the first shot.

Both shots are slightly blurry, but that's the operators fault, not the cameras. I was shooting
with natural light @ 1/2 sec shutter speed, and apparently, a shaky hand.

The first shot has been reduce in size for forum viewing, and second is full size so you can zoom
in and pick out all the flaws.

I'd like to go out a get some better shots, but it's raining something terrible now, and I don't want to get my brand new camera wet just yet.

P.S. Booger is a VERY reluctant model.

Nope, with a 28-200 - nothing too wide about that. :(

I have to say, never before working with sky shots, that I'm at loss at what adjustments to make to them.

ie I went all crazy with the sliders in the shot below - am I going in the right direction? :p

Well, let's see. Today I was gang raped by goats, almost eaten by a tiger, tossed around by an elephant and then molested by an orangutan. I'd call it a good day. :)

Nong Nooch gardens, one of the places I'd wanted to go to, is one of the regularly scheduled trips by the clinic. After we went shopping at the jewelry factory and souvenir shop (pics later), we went to the gardens.

First we got to feed the goats and horses, and I was punched in the face by the one on top of me:

But being able to hold one of the baby goats made up for it:

Next we saw an elephant show. They were very talented, shooting darts, basketball, bowling, riding around on carts and dancing. During the show three elephants actually made paintings right in front of us:

Well, I just had to buy the painting that the one closest to us made. The money goes to support elephants in Thailand.

Here's me with the elephant that did the painting.

And here's me being picked up by one:

After that I got my picture taken with a very grumpy tiger. They had to have me stand up a couple of times because it seemed like he was getting ready to turn and chew my head off.

Then, I was molested by an orangutan.

Here he is with his tongue in my ear.

And here we are frenching. Yeah baby!

Along the way back to the hotel we stopped by Silver Lake vineyard.

Damn, Lizard of Oz. That D300 definitely looks like an awesome camera. I really love the fog in the second picture of the rainy day series!

Mike, how buggered would you say my sensor is? Around 1 min exposure with the lens cap on. Camera was used from ~late 2005.

There is a blue fringe to the top left corner - I'm wondering, was that caused by the sun/flare 'wearing down' the CCD?

Found this little bugger chilling on my car and took a quick macro shot for the hell of it. :)

Seriously?

Consumer based camera or DSLR?

Flares shouldn't hurt your camera, although direct sunlight and lasers will.

DSLR cameras are slightly more resistant since their exposure to light is a lot shorter (due to a shutter) than a consumer camera or video camera.

I would say your camera has a new "feature".
