Giant Jellyfish

Story

Quote:
Now it has drifted into the Sea of Japan, and brought down the Diasan Shinsho-maru. One of the largest jellyfish in the world, the Nomura's jellyfish can grow up to 6 feet in diameter and weigh as much as 400 pounds.

Jellyfish freak me out. I'm use to swimming in fresh water. And when I see a jellyfish I run out of the Gulf of Mexico. Never seen a shark yet thank goodness.

This is not the Diasan ... but it looks neat.

There all a whole mess of stuff under that sea that we know nothing about. Nice that the creatures gave us a preview of their power and superiority over us.

I don't hate Jellyfish ... think the species is neat really. But I'm freaked out by them.

Ocean Life Is Awesome. Giant Squid and Jellyfish are only the beginning.

Yeah the ocean is very cool, it's like a different planet. The things there a lot more interesting than anything above water.
But jelly fish are just suspicious.

lol " jellyfish typhoon".

we know more about the universe than we do about the deepest parts of our own oceans.
at this point in human technological advancement, it is actually easier for us to venture deep into space than to the bottom of the sea.

crazy.

Not really. Space is good aslong as you got air, and are not in space...duh! deep parts of the ocean we don't have anything that will not crush us from the pressure. Hell there is a place where i live called swan lake, nobody has ever been to the bottom yet.

I was stung by a jellyfish near Crete when I was a kid. Was really nasty, it hurt like hell and the whorl took about eight months to vanish from my arm.
I haven't enjoyed swimming at all since that point actually, now I come to think of it...
