Can't install Classic Map Pack
I've installed of UT2004 from the ECE disk. I installed Jailbreak at the same time as UT2004.
I've patched UT to 3355. Now I'm trying to install the JB Classics pack from UMOD. I get a message that Jailbreak is not installed.

I installed all of the content from the ECE DVD first -- UT2004, and Jailbreak.
Then I patched UT2004. Then I tried to install the map pack. I couldn't see anything on JDN that matched the problem. Anyway... I downloaded the zip version.

I do know nothing about the UT2004 ECE version (and the way Jailbreak is included) but maybe this thread points into the right direction.

What I did was I installed UT2k4, then patched it, then installed JB, then installed ECE and it all worked. Your mods carry over if you are installing ECE< but do not unistall the regular 2k4 and then the ECE cause then the mods won't carry, you have to use ECE to install over 2k4 that is already patched and modded.

Thanks I'll need that information when I need to reinstall al of those files
When I have my new cd -----Edit----- Does that mean you can't add any mods anymore if you have installed the ECE bonuspack? Last edited by Vatcilli zeitchef; 10th Aug 2005 at 12:23 PM. |

No, you can add more mods with after installing ECE, but I would suggest that you do install it first in normal UT2k4 and carry it over.

What do you mean by "ECE"?
I'm not installing the UT2004 ECE bonuspack, I have the ECE version of UT2004 on DVD that I'm installing on a new system. installation from that immediately suggests: *UT2004 game * DirectX 9b * Desktop shortcut * ECE mods |

Ok, this time I did this:
* installed UT2k4 ONLY * patched it * installed mods from the ECE DVD * tried to install map pack There is definitely something wrong. EDIT: I think I have found the problem. The following text is written to a file called "Manifeset.ini". Note the extra 'e'. Code:
[Jailbreak] NewIniKeyword1=Product=Jailbreak NewIniKeyword2=Version=102 Last edited by tarquin; 14th Aug 2005 at 05:36 AM. |

Bah. There go my good intentions when I asked Epic to register "Jailbreak 102" in Manifest.ini to make further updates easier for users...

The fix is this:
Add the following to the file Manifest.ini in the UT2004 system folder: Code:
[Jailbreak] Product=Jailbreak Version=102

If you find something about Jailbreak there, then you probably won't have the problem. AFAIK, all the map pack installer needs to know is that JB is installed -- it doesn't check the version.
