Saw mod - Truth
What is it?
Truth mod takes place some time after the Truth ending of Saw game. Melissa Sing wakes up and finds herself trapped in some abandoned mansion.
Having no other choice, she explores the house in the quest for the truth about what's really happened. And a quest for way out, of course.
This is the first release of the mod, and here's what you can expect from it:
* Changed player model and animations.
* New playable level - Abandoned Mansion.
* No boring repetition - each puzzle was only used one.
* Storytelling, cutscenes.
What people say:
SPY-maps: nice spooky room!
(why do rooms of a child always give us a spooky feeling, lol)
rabyte: Ok, finished it. Had trouble figuring out the lock's code ^^ Well done. Atmosphere is good, and playing as another character gives it a fresh feel. Sadly, it's way too short
sachioa: I'm impressed. You managed to capture in less than half an hour, the fear and tension that the Saw video-game couldn't capture even after an entire play-through. Plus I love the gore you added in half-way through. Awesome!!!

After replaying the mod recently, I realised that there are some perfectible places where additional polish would be preferable. So I decided to remaster the mod, addressing them.
The changes include improving the look of the mod in 16:9 widescreen mode, improving few cutscenes, and diligent work on increasing the quality of the look of the level: texture seams were removed, lighting has been made more realistic, light no longer gets through walls where it shouldn't, and shadows were added where possible.
Screenshots and teaser were remastered too - now they are in FullHD resolution:
More information and screenshots are available at the ModDB profile.
In case anyone got stuck, a walkthrough is posted.
So, if you'd like to try Truth or replay it with improved experience, download the remastered version (v1.1)
or a patch which updates the previous release to v1.1:
