Recommend a quality HDD
I'm looking for a good HDD. Not as main, but second.
One I currently have is a seagate 350 gigs iirc. Thinking of adding a 500 gigs HDD maybe a western digital. Which model would you recommend? Thanks for any suggestions.

If you're seeking reliability go for enterprise class hard drives. Sure, they will cost more, but their quality-grade is higher compared to consumer oriented desktop drives.
Here's a good document describing differences if you're interested in technical details: http://download.intel.com/support/mo...rd_drives_.pdf

Thanks raynor.z. Yeah I am definitely looking for reliable hardware.
I forgot mentioning, was a bit in a hurry, that my mobo is from late 2008, Asus type. So yeah, pc is aging.

You get the best bang for your buck with 2TB drives IMO.
I have 2 of these in my comp: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822145473 Got them at $99 though. Right now is a bad time for buying HDDs because the prices apparently skyrocketed to triple the price, but now down to double, because of a storm in Thailand. Check out this price tracker: http://camelegg.com/product/N82E16822145473

I think I have a Cavier Green 500gig in use somewhere. It's 5200RPM though, so probably not what you want.

The green drives are BS marketing. They are slow and use such a minutely less amount of power that it's not worth your time. Blue is...fine, I guess. Black is the only WD that you should bother with.

If you search for reliable because you don't want to lose data you should consider getting another HDD for backups.
