blargh, whatever you do don't buy this game. It was poorly translated to the PC, with mysteriously terrible performance.
Too bad, because underneath the problems is a great off-road game (maybe the 360 version is in better shape, and if so I recommend it), despite having a shallow "campaign" mode.

That port house is building a pretty bad resume, similar to Aspyr.

If it was one dollar you might get your money's worth. Or if you have like a quad 600 series SLI setup, you could brute force the game to run smoothly.

I'd say that for $5 you're missing quite a ride. It has its problems, but at that price they are much easier to overlook and it's a good 8 hours of solid shooting.

Plus... guns that shoot grenades linked to chains, a sniper rifle with bullets you can steer, a triple-barreled shotgun, a cannonball gun. C'mon!

If I had only played the demo one of the words in my description would have been "weird".
Actually, after playing the whole thing it's still really weird. lol, but in a good way, mostly.

I tried not to think of it as a pure shooter (after some suggestions) and started having a lot more fun with it.

I bought it for that price and am enjoying it quite a bit. The story is just great and it's believably creepy without going over the top. The gameplay is somewhat repetitive but there are enough twists along the way to keep it from being monotonous. Even the music is really good. They took their time porting it to the PC too, so it's very friendly to the m/k interface.
