So, what, is this patch being held up in 2K QA?

I can't read the post I originally linked to - probably deleted - but yeah, I think it's going through 2k qa.

nice.
downloading now for retail.

except I probably won't benefit from any of the fixes.
the changelog shows that most of the work went into online play to resolve issues people were having with disconnects and lost skill/proficiency points. I've never run into any of these issues, and I do at least half of my playing offline.

oh well.
still nice to see that they responded to the community already.

How about "fixed co-op so you don't have to rape your router repeatedly for two hours in order to join a game"?

1) Forward ports once.
2) Play game.
3) ???
4) Profit.

Thats my only gripe with the game....everything else I love..but the hours I have spent trying to get a game going with friends I can never get back

Brizz has a history of every video game that works fine for everyone else breaking for him, so... Yeah.

What do you mean?

Whenever I invite someone to a game and they accidentally hit escape and close it, I cannot re-invite them to a game until they restart their game completely. They simply never get the other invites.

Whenever I invite someone to a Private game it doesn't work. I then have to go back out to the menu and start a single player game and invite them into that.

If I want to play in someone else's game I have to help them figure out how to forward THEIR ports.

hal has had the same problems.

Hedge has had the same problems.

DP has had the same problems.

This isn't just exclusive to me. Even if these weren't issues, it's still more of a pain than it should be.

On a side note, typically every game that breaks for everyone else works fine for me, so you have it a little backwards. Maybe I should delete your post to make it so you're right about something for once

You shouldn't HAVE to forward ports. Those of us who have been in PC gaming long enough understand the concept, but if Mr. PC Illiterate wants to get the game and play with his friends, he can't. That's a big no-no.

On top of that, one of my clan mates is one of the most IT intelligent people I know, and HE can't host games.

Well it seemed to work fine (except the port forwarding thing which only did once). Toilet, Slayer, Zero, Haarg, Funkblast. I joined their games many times and canceled out of the invites quite a few times without a restart.

I forwarded all recommended ports I could find anywhere and couldn't get it to work. Except once it randomly did let a guy in when i created a public game, but my friends I invited to that same game could not join.

Once I got GameRanger all problems were over.

Haha, I was affected by that claptrap bug that the change log mentions. I was so confused. I spent a couple hours scouring the area trying to figure out how to get inside the building which the radar seemed to indicate i needed to do. Finally created a new game and the stupid robot didn't get stuck.
