Can BeyondUnreal make a download mirror? I dislike downloading from non-direct links like Rapidshare or megaupload...
Hal, mirror it please.

The mod needs some optimization or options for the texture level (or whatever makes it run so bad). Seriously, on a 8800GT/Q6600 (OC 3.2Ghz)/4GB RAM it runs with 20fps... Changing options doesn't give even 1FPS benefit. WTF?

Performance was pretty bad on my machine too, (8800GS 3GB ram.) For some reason the mod started out at 1600 resolution, switching it down to 1024 helped considerably. Turning off the FPS counter helped a lot.

I've played maybe 20 minutes, and got trapped in the first map. Still it looks very detailed and the story seems intriguing (although some of the dialog was kinda WTF), definitely going to play some more later.

Has anyone had any luck with the torrent? Ktorrent & Transmission keep coughing on all of the torrent files complaining that they are corrupt.

Congrats to CRC for doing such a titanic effort! I've been checking on this TC for various years now. Great to see he finally released it.

I played a bit of the first level and I must say it's pretty moody!

I've had no performance problems up to now. Running on SLIed 8800GTs and Core 2 Duo @ 2.5 Ghz, 3+ GB Ram. All settings highest w/antialiasing 8x and AF 16x. Maybe the guys that are reporting problems have bloatware? Or Norton, which drags PCs down? (I'm using Microsoft Security Essentials... great AV!!)

I have the same setup as Wolverine and am having the same issue. I keep my computer nice and clean with background processes to a minimum, I don't think that's the issue here.

Looks like I'll have to download it the old-fashioned way.

I'll wait until a patch comes out. This game runs terribly on my machine. I had to turn all the settings to lowest with my resolution to 640x480 just to be able to walk comfortably. When I met my first zombies (after walking through the second level doing absolutely nothing), I died because the lag was so bad. This mod needs optimizations.

ohgodohgodohgodohgod how long I waited for this mod and nearly forgotten about it. UNFORTUNATELY, while I have TWO copies of UT2k4 (anthology and napkin dispenser edition) both are thousands of miles away...

how.. cruel....

Very nice. And that being doen by just one guy. Awesomeness!
I was afraid it wouldn't run too well on my old rig (P4 3 GHz, 1 GB RAM, GT7600), but it does.

Thanks.

That works (albeit on a different machine).

Now all it needs is a seeder...
