duffers does not start :-(

I get this critical error when trying to start duffers golf

Could not spawn a GUI Controller!

History: UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine

Did you unzip the file to your base UT2004 directory? The Path should be like this:

/UT2004/Duffers/Animations
/UT2004/Duffers/Maps
/UT2004/Duffers/StaticMeshes
/UT2004/Duffers/System

etc...

Then use the included .bat file or select Duffers from the Community->User Mods menu.

Yep, did exactly that, everything is in the right spot, but either using the bat file or the Community page, I get a

Could not spawn a GUI Controller.

I do have patch 3202 beta installed, that might be the problem.

I've heard that the Beta patches have problems with mods. You should reinstall the original Version 3186, and wait for the next official patch to come out.

That can be fixed easily. Read up what I've posted here to clean up your UT2k4 installation and get the mod working.

well i think its the mod cause the official patch is now out and i cant open it anymore

i was really looking forward to the game too.

just wanted to let ya know
