Hanging when switching maps?

Has anyone else had this problem?

At the end of an online match - when the map changes the game just hangs there waiting - as if it's trying to reconnect to the server. Or is it just that if it's say a 15 slot server you have simply lost your spot on the map switch and are in the queue awaiting a spot to open up?

Yeah. This issue and the inability to return pings for any queried servers is plaguing me.
