...you're downloading a CD image (don't worry, it's Linux so it's legal), which takes 90 minutes to download, and the download stalls at 4 minutes remaining, and it can't be resumed?
IE doesn't even support resume! That's the LAST time I'm EVER gonna use IE for FTPing !!

SmartFTP is the shiznit if you want an FTP client.
I also like Getright because it will automatically redial your connection if it gets cut-off and hang-up when it's done. It also automatically searches for alternate mirrors and segments files for a quicker download.

Using IE for downloading anything is questionable at best (says the man who does it daily). For anything that may take a while and you don't want to curse and start over, you need a "download manager"....
... a "download manager"... wtf, M$?
