Horrible mouse lag in UT99 on Windows 7

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

I just noticed a massive mouse lag problem in UT 99 when playing on a laptop with Windows 7 (32bit). I've unchecked mouse smoothing in UT options and "Enhanced pointer accuracy" on Windows mouse settings, to no avail. Does anyone know a fix for this? UT version is 436. No problems, at least significant, in UT 2004.

Ok, I think it's a bit better now. I enabled DirectInput, disabled VSync from the graphics card control panel, then checked UnrealTournament.ini, Vsync was already set to false there. But I think there's still a little delay... Is there any other settings I should try?

Are you using newer OpenGL renderer or the stock Direct3D one?
Go for updated OpenGL that can solve your mouse issue plus many more such as improved performance and various graphical tweak capabilities. Look my signature for link.

Holy shit this new OpenGL renderer really makes a difference. It even supports my native display resolution. Thx bro.

On a laptop i'd probably prefer the new D3D renderer from the same UTGLR page because laptops tend to have very D3D-favoring graphics chipsets.

Got just kicked from a server by ACE due to using the new renderer. N00b admin apparently doesn't know about it. :d

ACE should not kick by using OpenGL 3.7, maybe only if it's horribly outdated.
