Predator/Yaut'ja

Come onnnnn, just look at that Skarjj model, it screams to have a Predator skin. Or for that matter, someone tweak it and make a predator model! I'm a huge fan and I always used the old Pred model in the origonal UT, including voicepack... and I have been on the tips of my toes waiting for someone to make the new pred skin/model. And with the new movie soon to come out, you had better belive its going to be popular. Someone please do me, and everyone else the huge favor of taking this project on... I love 2k4 but I miss my old Predator. !

I looked all over the web, at all the UTk4 Model/Skin sites and by far I think the people here are the most talented and creative. I would want no one else to work on it.

Awsome news! Man, its great to know some of the hardcores out there are looking into this. I don't want to flood the thread with images, so I will just link the pages to a few decent pics, and even a great movie clip or two from the up-comming movie that may or may not be publicly assecible. Oh.. quick few notes on some things for anyone not too familier with them apart from those pictures.

1. The dreads are not usualy flailing in the air like in 90% of those images. Those are action shots and they tend to always do that. Might want to include them bobbing/swaying on the model if you can.

2. Please... Please if your a fan of the upcomming movie, do not use the wierd skullface pred mask for the model. Its .. uhh interesting.. but I and most people I think will prefer the oldschool ones. (Which are also in the movie anyways.)

And a few questions...

1. Is it at all possible to make more than one place a weapon slot? I was thinking the Shock Gun firing from the shoulder mounted cannon would be beyond wicked... but the other weapons firing from that location would seem a bit silly. Can weapon specific slots be made?

2. Is there any way to mod a special invisibility adrenalin so that it looks more pred esq?

Silly, and unimportant questions I know.. but I don't know the limitations of UT2k4 ED and I'm pretty excited.

Yup.. you can even tell someone in Epic is a fan.. I mean come on.. The Skarrj? Dreadlocks..Giant Wristblades.. splotchy quasi-reptilian skin...tusks... Toss a mask on and lop off the tail and Bwammo... you've got yourself a Pred. Not that I'm denouncig thier creativity... just noting a few resemblances that may or may not be fandom. Either way I think their both great. And rock on Spectre.. I'm lookng foward to it, even if someone else starts another model (the more the merrier) don't drop yours... a clan made entirly of assorted Preds is a wicked scary thought.. and its one I like.

If your reeeaallyy a dork.. like some of us ^_~ You have read one or all of the three paperback novels on the subject.. Great reads.... I suggest. (Except the second one.. bad writter) It goes into alot of detail about thier culture we never see.. and one of the things they explain is that like we call ourselves Humans, they call themselves Yaut'ja.
