Anyone can play DM-Q2DM1 ?

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

I've downloaded the map. It's 2 files in 1 zip: txt file and .unr

I put the .unr in my maps directory
start UT, choose the DM-Q2DM1 (by the way, a preview of the map would be cool in the map browser).

I hit start, and UT tells me he can't find the specified URL 'Q2DM1'

Anyone know what I should do to run it?

You need the q2dm1.utx file that was in the beta version of the map, but wasn't included in the new release.

Find the beta, and copy the .utx file to your "Textures" directory.

Know where I can get it?

Nali City has only the Final version, which doesn't include the .utx

closest to original of the remakes for UT

Woohoo......serious necropost.;) Anyway, this one is by VT/CreepingDeath, who also made some other Q2 remakes for UT. This map looks similar to original with same layout and gameplay, skybox could be better and bots are good. It can be found at any one of these links:
http://www.ut-files.com/index.php?dir=Maps/DeathMatch/MapsQ/&file=dm-q2dm1.zip
http://www.gamefront.com/files/1538464/dm_q2dm1_zip
http://uttexture.com/UT/Downloads/Maps/DeathMatch/MapsQ/dm-q2dm1.zip

A couple other ones for the original UT that have the same layout/gameplay, but look a lot different are DM-Edge][ by Faceless and DM-Edge-Scrag by Hellscrag.
Edge][ can be downloaded here:
http://www.ut-files.com/index.php?dir=Maps/DeathMatch/MapsE/&file=dm-edge][.zip

and Edge-Scrag here:
http://www.ut-files.com/index.php?dir=Maps/DeathMatch/MapsE/&file=dm-edge-scrag.zip

Maybe I should just start new threads instead of reviving old ones when I'm commenting and posting links to old maps. What would people prefer?

CreepingDeath is still around somewhere, right? Anyway, I'm going through some Q2 remakes right now and then I'll get back to more recent maps.:)
