3DI, established in 2005, is a serious games company with a full license of the Unreal 3 engine. 3DI has been developing top quality training simulations using the Unreal 3 engine for a number of major international customers including Caterpillar, the US Military (through Caterpillar), Barrick Gold, Genie, JLG, and many others. 3DI’s projects have included construction simulation, mining simulation, oil field simulation, and projects that truly push the limits of real-time technology.
3DI is seeking a full-time technical artist (contract positions available based on portfolio) that specifically has experience with the Unreal 3 game engine. 3DI places a high value on self taught expertise; no professional experience is necessary, though demonstration of work at a professional level is a must. 3DI is particularly interested in someone with experience building advanced materials in the Unreal Material Editor and otherwise dealing with final visual polish regarding custom game assets. Experience creating custom game assets (textures, meshes, animations) and or UScript understanding would also be an asset.
Salary (or contract rate): Industry Competitive, and negotiable based on experience / capability
