Now available on Steam.

I've played a few hours of it, and it feels a lot like its predecessor, except with a few changes.
-Call-ins
-Point based rewards system
-Free to play now

I think I like Tribes' F2P system more, but it's still a decent romp if you want some of that pseudo-tactical shooter cheese with a cyberpunk twist.

Yeah... that's a really stupid thing about Blacklight. Timed purchases.

Yeah and it is something that free to play games should steer clear of. That Dust 514 game is also doing something similar. Buy your armor and if you get shot too many times you will have to buy more.

All it is is just temptation for suckers who have more money than brains, but it is going to give other developers wrong ideas.

Played it before steam.

Resumed to this:

I've been reading about players starting to have a bad day past level 11, and it seems to be a obvious problem (aside from the lack of players past that stage!)

One of the main reason why I stopped enjoying BLR around level 13 is their Hardsuit concept (either from my perspective or the enemie's). While I understand that it's not "overpowered" and it's entirely possible to take out with the weakspot/anti-armor launcher x3/flame trower up close, it's really hard to pull off with an entire enemy team around it.

It doesn't take rocket science to be good with the hardsuit, and the learning curve for newer players on how to take them down is really problematic (no tutorial explanation, ridiculously small "generated weak" spot mostly easily countered). Not to mention that the railgun is atrociously good in the right hands.
With all that said, and the fact that it's so cheap for 1300cp (that's a joke, right?) it's very easily abused.

I think they've made a decent game, but the way they put level 11's next to hell's doorstep is totally why people drop this game and move on. There's definitively something they should do about the hardsuit and they should act fast.

Simply put, this game is somewhat "fun" when you don't get competitive. Something that is impossible to do past a specific stage.
