Outlaw: Acrylic :) I never really liked watercolors very much, and have never tried oil.

Had a short stint involving aerosol paints, came to an abrupt end after getting fired from a job due to it.

Side note: That's why I used the name Xylene at first. :)

jenny?-

one of the rooms in my house is my artist's studio...i usually work with oils...smellier, messier, but i like the appearance. i used to work with watercolors, but i didn't like the appearance...(i am no monet')! i usually make stuff...like i'll take some discarded lumber and take ceramic tile and make pillars out of them and cover them in tile...tables...yadda yadda. i use alot of roman type of mosaic (i took latin for 3 years just for the aesthetics) b/c it's cool, but when i paint, for the most part it's completely symbolic...when i want to get detailed(like a scene), i will use charcoal and oil pencils, then dress with the paint...

i would love to be able to do nothing but paint, draw and write all day and my life would be perfect. course then i would not be able to feed my "kids"(dog and cat). As soon as I get the cars paid off... ;)

what artist influences you? in other words, what artist's work do you look at and just drop your jaw?

and if anyone else is into this kinda thing, tell me...

like i said, i am a writer...so i am just curious...

In a cave & grooving with a Pict

Well, I was born on the island of Croicia in the Corsican sea, but it sank. I survived only
because my poor dear mother had forced me to wear "water-wings" since the day I was born.
I floated on the sea for several days. It is amazing that sharks did not eat me, but I
guess that is because I was wearing my lucky ham. Later I was rescued and raised by a
pod of Dolphins. I became quite an adept swimmer, and to this day, I cannot pass a Sushi
house without giving out a squeal.
As I grew into my teen years, I began to get the feeling that I just did not fit in with my
fellow pod-mates. I would look to the shore and wonder what lay beyond those sandy
beaches. This fascination with the dry land disturbed my adopted family so much so that
they began to shun me. Feeling very alone one day I swam to the beach…

Oh, that's not what you meant by "tells about yourself" is it?

Never mind.

Umm...well Quantum Physics is *part* of Physics so yeah thats some of the degree. But there's also Relativity (Special + General), Newtonian Mechanics, Solid State Physics, Electromagnetic Theory, and lots of things I can't remember the course names for right now. Lots of maths too.

Where did you get this "can't be more than half way to something" thing from though?

man, I can't remember. ever since i posted it i have been trying to remember the theory name...btw...i was an English major...not a physics guy...but i do know a few things here and there ;). actually, i took Lit only b/c the main goal in life is to become a writer, but i loved math, trig, calc, finite, stuff like that. that's why I like UnrealEd (my pathetic attempt to talk about something UT related so the topic doesn't get bumped... :))

basically what the theory states in convuluted terms, is that you can never be more than halfway to anything. ever. if you have distance x to y, then there are infinite way points between all of them. spaces between the spaces that exist infinitely. i think i really screwed the hell out of the explanation, but it is something like that...
basically its one of those things that a person is like..."whoa...cool...but why the hell am i wasting my time thinking about this..." but if someone can figure it out...

so you basically study the concepts of energy fields and stuff like that right? cool...so what about chaos mathematics?

Uhh.. I'm pretty boring.

19, living in some lame town called Peabody, in Massachusetts. I'm an art geek.. love to paint, draw, sculpt, whatever. Been a video game geek since I was about 2 (seriously), and well I guess it kinda caught on. :)

Not currently in school (my old school, Bradford College sadly had to close down due to financial problems, and I didn't have the cash/GPA to transfer elsewhere) Looking at UMass Lowell for a new school. :)

Not working either. I'm having fun with the whole lazy@ss thing. Growing a bit antsy though, hoping to be back in work/school by the fall.

Lately, my days have consisted of spending long hours on the phone b!tching at the wonderful folk at BellAtlantic. Supposedly it's fixed now, but I'll only know if I don't time out in the next 5 hours.. hehe :)

So there you have it. Incredibly b!tchy and lazy female gamer. :)

lol, Peabody, that's a funny name :)

Guess I have to say something about myself just because of that. :(

I'm 21 years old, I'm from Sweden and live in a city called Gothenburg. So I actually experince summer and girls with nice skirts unlike those guys up north (like Swedix ;)).

I study computer engineering (yep, sure sounds boring), 1 year left. What else can I say. I'm just your average joe. :)
