ok, i have no idea what happened. I installed the 402 patch so's i could play online, and all of a sudden, it crashes on me every time i try and start up!
I downloaded the patch, double clicked, it unzipped, then it brings up the install screen. I selected the same folder to install the patch as i installed the game. The install finished, i clicked finish, then double clicked my shortcut. It brings up the first time playing screen(even though it did that when i first installed already) and while it was searching, another UT screen pops up. The search seems to stop responding, but then it works and gives me the choice. I pick software renderer because my video ain't that great. I finish the menu, and again, a UT screen comes up. then the whole thing freezes. ctrl + alt + del shows that 2 unreal tourneys are running, and one is not responding. I end task on the not responding one, and they both close down.
i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it didn't work /~unreal/ubb/html/frown.gif
oh, and when i went to uninstall and it asked what components to uninstall, it had UT in there twice.
if you need any more info, ask and I'll get an answer... someone please help! heh
