UE3 - UDK Human Gnerator (Cheating?)

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

There are countless programs available on the Internet that allow you to generate a high quality human mesh for posing, rendering, and gaming purposes.

Is this cheating?

If I absolutely suck at making human models, is it cheating if I use a program to generate a human mesh and then edit it?

Sorry if this is a silly question.

Aside from that, it's not cheating. As an artist you are free to use any resources you see fit to achieve the final result you are aiming for. Just make sure to credit work that is not yours properly :) Even AAA games use premade content to save on time, even if it's used only as a base, including textures. Assassin's Creed 2 would be a good example of this.
