Aye!

I'm with you Good Sir! Truly a worthy idea!
I'm already drinking too much Coke, and spending too much time in front of this damn computer, why not take it to extremes? I mean, if this isn't a good excuse, then what is?

*runs out to buy some more coke*

Coke? eww. get yourself some real gaming beverages, like pepsi. It allows you to play, create, and edit your best while on a computer.

hey if Warren and the team advertise pepsi, then it must be good /infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

hehehe...

Any of you fine gentlemen (and gentlewomen, too) heard of a certain Cola beverage by the very descriptive name of Jolt.
To quote one of my favourite game characters:
That's the stuff.

Jolt got me through senior finals way back in college, I still remember the tag line "All the sugar and twice the caffeine".

Yo Buddy_Pickle, have you ever had chocolate covered espresso beans? If not go down to the local gourmet grocery and pick yourself up a bag, you will not be dissapointed. (then about 10 minutes after you've eaten the last one you will find yourself driving back to the store to get more, if you thought heroin was addictive...)

But now I've got a fresh bag of Uganda Blue sitting by the coffee maker at work tomorrow (one of the few things I have to look forward to at work, the other is that it's Friday!).

Dem Africans grow a damn fine bean!

A note of caution

I've noticed that if you do decide to indulge in the glory of Pepsi, you must drink it non-stop throughout the day so that you never are affected by "caffiene-crash" until you go to bed. I used to advocate Pepsi, but now I am so afflicted I am considering a lawsuit against caffiene addiction denial on the part of Pepsico. Maybe that's what I meant by moderation! /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Caffeine has no effect on me. In fact, it makes me drowsy. I've had cans of Jolt, those power drinks, cappucinos, etc. and none of them wake me up any more. Just today I was out driving and had an English Toffee from Tim Hortons. I thought I was gonna fall asleep at the wheel. /infopop/emoticons/icon_redface.gif Even those damn Wake Ups caffeine pills; I need to take 3 to keep myself awake.

Gryphon, have you tried sleep aids.

No, seriously, one of the guys I work with has the same deal with stimulants as you, caffeine has the same effect on him as sleeping pills to the rest of us.

But his doctor put him on sleeping pills a couple of years ago and he ended up going like 72 hours without sleep.

Oh, and if he drinks any alcohol it makes him violent, does it have the same effect on you?

I guess some peoples body chemestry is just a little different.

I read somewere that caffeine changes muscle tone or "tenses up" all muscles
and this, indirectly causes the alertness.
Maybe your body associates this with tiredness, how about staying off
caffeine for 3 to 6 month and then trying again, low doses.

Or you could graduate to Mr. Nicotine or Mr. Ephedrine.
Kidding.

Seriously, nobody should do anything for 5 hours straight without taking
a lunch brake to keep blood glucose levels normal.

The body starts producing its own halucinogenic compounds after a
certain period of sleep deprivation.
So I woudnt try to play 72 STRAIGHT hours of ANYTHING!!!
I dont want to need treatment for post traumatic stress disorder
or have flashbacks like a freaking Vietnam Vet.

actually stimulants acting like depressants and depressants acting like stimulants is a symptom of ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). in fact, ritalin is a form of meth, but a harmless variant tho. u can trust me on this one i have done my research.
