can't connect to server

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Evening

I've just got a ut server up and running on one of my windows machines that is behind a linux firewall, I myself am on a linux box but have been unable to connect to any server including my own. Now as far as I know I should be able to connect to anything as long as it's outgoing, which they have been.
Is anyone familiar with iptables here? Do I need to make a rule to allow myself the ability to connect to my server? or any other one for tht matter.

thx

Basically, you need to open up all the ports a client needs (check sites like the Unreal Admin Page for this info.). I think there's one port in particular that is used for the game itself and should be incoming too.
