another thing is that the parents today are far too self indulgent, i mean a majority of kids in these cases of school shootings, barring gang violence, aren't poor. one of hte columbine kids has a father that was a dead fireman, his mother raised him, but all the others came from well-to-do families. the kid that was 12 and shot his schoolmates with a rifle from the bushes, he broke into his grandfather's ARSENAL... i mean, a family that collects GUNS, isn't exactly poor. a colt 1911, the service pistol of the US army from 1917 to 1982, the most widely used and hte most popular gun in the history of mankind barring perhaps the AK47 derivatives, sells for a few thousand dollars on the market these days... you can't decide one day to start collecting guns when you're on minimum wage, and this kid's grandfather had a cabinet full of guns... these are all nice, medium-salary families, middle class, whose parents arent's spending time teaching kids to play catch, instead they're off chasing their own dreams, and children are a mere vehicle of their expectations. how the hell are children going to raise themselves? i wouldn't be surprised if one day a kid breaks a barbie doll into shards and stabs another, and all of a sudden they sue mattel for making a violent product. get the hell over it.
