[HELP] UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Looks like a broken package file. With all those errors, I really recommend reinstalling the game. Make sure you do so into an empty folder, you can copy over configuration/mods afterwards one by one to ensure they weren't the reason for the problems.

Maybe a bad hard drive or ram if you installed from an official DVD and are still getting that.

Or the DVD being scratched (although in that case the installer itself shouldn't work). Still, doesn't hurt to check your Windows Event Log for any errors about the CD/DVD drive. Or possibly a virus of some sort.

And giving you the file won't work, because if Engine and Entry are affected, so will countless other files be. And the game will definitely not be kind enough to supply you with the names of other files, too.

You have missing and/or corrupt files. There is literally no other explanation than a problem with your PC somehow.

I believe that is not a problem in my pc because I work with computer maintenance and have several here at home and test them in two and the error was the same:

Build UT2004_Build_ [2005-11-23_16.22]

OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: GenuineIntel PentiumPro-class processor @ 2933 MHz with 2047MB RAM

I think the problem is here:
Localization: No localization: ut2004.General.Start (int)
Log: nv4_disp.dll/NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT
Log: The file '../Maps/Entry.ut2' contains unrecognizable data

but do not understand why

just one more question, what is the extension of the files of maps?

It's .ut2. Entry is the map that loads when the game starts. There is either a problem with your hard drive, your ram, the install media, or you are not using a legitimate copy of the game.

I think it is legitimate for a long time ago I bought in a store that specializes in PC games, plus I can not find more to buy at all ...
So trying to make this work.
I believe that is not a hardware problem because I tested on 2 different pc
Someone I could not pass this map that the mistake?

If you do computer maintenance then you should know that that is not more than a few things that can cause a problem like this. The first reason is virus or malware. The second reason and most likely reason is bad install media (either ruined or not legitimate). The third and all following reasons are hardware related.

If nothing else works, get the game on GOG.

http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/unreal_tournament_2004_ece

$10 and no install media problems.
