IDE/Text Editor War!

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

I use Notepad++. And only Notepad++. D:

Though, if I were using M$ tech, I'd use Visual Studio Pro in a heartbeat. It's good.

I've collected enough lisp to make it impossible to switch from Emacs, it's very disappointing when notepad doesn't have a calculator :(

Do people still feel strongly about that sort of thing any more? Maybe it used to be a more serious argument back in the day when insane people chose to use vi.

I work mostly with Eclipse, which is good for what it does, with TextPad for other stuff. At home it's Netbeans as an IDE and jEdit and MicroEMACS for other stuff. jEdit because MicroEMACS doesn't do the UTF-8 or have the pretty colours, but otherwise I prefer MicroEMACS.

gvim :)

I have used hundreds of editors/IDE but they are frankly mostly crap. Tons of editors are based on Java and that = barf to me.
