An idea for a map - JB-Machu-Picchu

I don't know about this stuff really. It's easy to dream about it, but harder to produce.
And mostly, what the gameplay would be like? 90% LTG/Shock rifle usage?

Interesting idea... it wouldn't have to be a replica of Machu Picchu right? Could be any layout with that theme.

Yea, it's a cool theme. I'd like to have a go at it one day. Well, I'm thinking more thick jungle'ey with Mayan temples nestled here and there. We had a level in Stargate of that theme, that would've been pretty kewl.

neilthecellist, the problem is not that i don't know how to do this or that. I'm a regular visitor of udn and UnrealWiki, but in coding sections. I tried making maps in UT99, UT2003. That's simply not mine. I do better as a coder.

Mostly open roofed in my opinion.
Perhaps this map could be a canditate for the "team mapping" Idea that I posted about a few weeks ago?
Because its quite a job for just one person.

Looks like it might be similar to Savoisland in terms of playing, which is a great thing imo, love that map.

I like it, the open middle looks like it *could* work quite well with vehicles, although I would prefer it without. But the open area would be vehicle dominated but you could easily avoid that on foot by staying in the village.
Which slops were you thinking to have the jails in?

_Lynx; I presume you don't want to map this yourself being more of a coder, do you want it opened up as a team made map, everyone doing a bit then passing it on?

As for team made map - of course. May be I'll dome some "codelets" for the map. As for Jails exits I meant putting them in a few houses on the slopes of the base hills.

I may have a play around i the editor later and give my interpretation of the theme + _Lynx's design.
also, just seen this map by Slainchild and the textures he is using look like they would work well, perhaps we could ask if we could use them?
Also I have Updated some old UT99 textures that may work, look in the ShaneChurch (of UT99 ;)) package if your interested, have just bumped up the res.
