At4

Well 95%ish of the people i talk to say they want the AT4 back.

So... Bring it back! Almost everyone wants it.. and now you have the buying system which can be used to balance guns.

Oh and.. I made a PCR8 and JackHammer model, and the people over at Tac ops forums like the models alot... but ive found infiltraion to be more fun. But i don't have a skinning program and i can't find one.

spm1138 31st Jan 2002 07:03 PM

What would you use the AT4 on?

TitanBlue 31st Jan 2002 07:08 PM

spm is right, the M136 AT4 is a light anti-tank and not an anti-personel-weapon. It will perhaps come back with vehicle-code, then I would also like to see someting bigger than the Robar :D

Eh, anything smaller than a hummer is a waste for an AT-4 missile.

well right now it looks like 100% of the people dont want it

The 2.86 H&K69a1 kicks the 2.75 AT4's ass from here to Kentucky. Try that out, instead of a one-shot disposable heavyass rocket...

NotBillMurray 31st Jan 2002 11:11 PM

Dude, the only thing I want to know is who is 95% of the people you talk to?

Only when vehicles are common in INF would that make any sense, hopefully only on an Unreal engine with a fully featured outdoor environment.

cl0secall 31st Jan 2002 11:16 PM

The AT4 would be very handy if there was a Search & Destroy gametype for INF.

FiringAimlessly 31st Jan 2002 11:51 PM

On the one hand, given what we have an AT4 wouldn't be realistic.

On the other hand, explosions are FUN! :D

On a third hand, I can't operate anything explosive worth crap...

Are Jackhammers milspec?

RAZZ 31st Jan 2002 11:58 PM

without valid targets, at4 = redeemer.

even afterwards, I think I would rather have a barret, a techniqual of my own, or some at mines befor I consider staring down an enemy vehicle with ah oversized firecracker.

i guess i'm the only guy who voted yes.

how is that for a non-conformist?

-Snakebite- 1st Feb 2002 02:18 AM

Just out of inteterest - how much would an AT4 cost in real life?

I'd rather have different types of grenade to play with - such as smoke or flare.

DamienW 1st Feb 2002 03:07 AM

I congratulate corona for the accuracy of his reliable fighures !!!! :p

Isnt rocket launchers also used against defensive positions like a Heavy machine gun or bunkers and stuff? But i voted No, because it wont be anything restricting you to use it against a player instead of an objective...

Gholam 1st Feb 2002 06:03 AM

Those are different types of launchers, with demolition warheads, like the russian Shmel (search striderteen's posts for info on that one).

Not a frieken chance

Way too much firepower in one place, and the UT engine can't model/handle all the complexeties present in the real thing.

Even if the team THINKS about doing it, lethal backblasts, large stamina/loadout penalties and the like must be modeled.

I prefer the M16 muself
:p
