OpenGL for Radeon 8500?!?

I just bought the Radeon 8500 and when I run OpenGL in INF it runs like sh!t! The goddamn screen goes wacky and there is all sorts of crazy crap going on!

Does Radeon only work in D3D or both? Also if I run in D3D where is the best D3D drivers for the Radeon 8500? Thanks!
