I'm the project leader for a Shadowrun TC (total conversion) MOD for the Unreal Engine, and Unreal Tournament in particular. We've been in business now for close to 6 months, and we are working hard on developing an amazing mod for the community. Our goal is to eventually have a full MMORPG (miniature-multiplayer-online-role-playing-game), but as a short term focus we are aiming towards more of a purchase-based Deathmatch and Team-Deathmatch game types. We also have every intention of porting the game to the Unreal 2, and Unreal Warfare engines when they become available.

Currently we are in search of people who are familiar with the Shadowrun game environment (this isn't a must, but it helps a lot) and who are experienced with Coding, Mapping, Modelling, Skinning and Animating. We're also always looking for talented webdesigners to augment our current web-staff.

We are hosted right now with the folks over at Unrealism, and can be found at http://kage.unrealism.com . If you are interested in our mod, or even interested in assisting us in our endeavours please head on over to our page and check out our forums. Although the page is a bit lacking currently on updates, the forums are always booming with activity.

I hope to find that some of you are interested in becoming a part of kage, and therefor a part of history! (yah, corny... I know!).

Thanks,

Lukano

Your post asked for modellers/skinners/coders. As this is a sound/music forum, do you need trackers? Checked your website and saw several of the former but none of the latter. Also, if you could send me a couple clips of Shadowrun-type music, I will incorporate the style and send you a little something and we'll see if your need and my skill are compatible.

Well, as Shadowrun is a Pen&Paper game (although it was adapted to SNES/Genesis games) there's no set music type. Basically what we've decided we're looking for is a sort of euro-trance (nice fast paced) mixed with an eery quality. Something good for ambient, won't overshadow the game itself, but fits well. So suffice to say there's no set music type... So if you're interested, please send me an email at lukano@telefragged.com with some ideas, and better yet some clips and I'll let you know if they fit. Also, you can hit the forums on our website and post some ideas there, get ideas from the rest of the team, and if you're interested in joining Kage let me know and I'll set your forum account up with DevTeam membership (restricted forums for team members, etc).

The fact is that the info was posted here. Regardless of what they are actively looking for a mod team could always use extra members:D

< realistic mode >I'm disqualified anyways as I'm committed rihgt now, for a while. < /end sucky real mode >

I'd be interested, but last time I hopped on a mod team as a music man, they disbanded after some half-hearted tinkering.

...and so is the way of things.
I've been on 2 dead UT mods, and 1 each from DX, HL and D3.
Thus far 2k4 seems to have the most promising mod community. More ppl seem willing to work towards realistic goals and actually get things done.

Well, I suppose if there's one consolation, it's that you still have your own work left over for a resume...

I guess the best way to go is to grab a bunch of people you know face-to-face to work on a mod so you can slap them upside the head if they quit.
