I know it's like a chat thing that most people here have, and I need to get it (I just got the UT patch with UED2, which kicks ass, so yeah I guess I'm behind on some of these programs:D)

So, any links?;) :)

You can use UT's built-in chat, or download mIRC (http://www.mirc.co.uk) and use that.

Either way, the place to connect to, once you've decided which program to use, is irc.enterthegame.com #beyondunreal.

Thanks:)

Downloading mIRC now. What channels do you guys hang out in alot? I've heard stuff liek #unrealed and stuff before... but I'm not sure which exact channels are the popular ones.

[EDIT] OK, got it... thanks Zaccix

Waff, I think what they mean when they hang out in channels is well.. you go open UT, then click "Find internet games" then there should be a tab that says "chat." then just type in a channel (that exists)
the channels are, where it says #[fill in the blank] for instance, it would take you unrealed if you typed in "#unrealed" :) I didnt discover this chat thing until I became a trainee for Zd :D

IRC in and of itself is free. It's just certain clients that connect to IRC that cost.

Internet Relay Chat existed long before ICQ, AIM or MSN messenger, back in the heady days of the completely free Internet.
