View Full Version : Rotating mover question

I have a rotating platform that spins just fine....the problem is when I jump ontop of the platform it rotates twice real fast...then about a sec later it rotates again two revolutions. I just want it to spin the reg speed without doing anything diffrent when I jump on it. Any sugestions???

Set the mover Ignore when Encrouch! :-)

Hey Fluffy....
that didn`t do it.
I gave up on trying to make it do what I wanted. It`s just standing there now.....no rotaion.
And I have a 2-Wire hardware firewall......no need for anti-virus.

#1 I noticed a lot of "mistakes" that i dont even make, well anymore :lol:

#2 A few brushes were misaligned

#3 textures are horrible. Not that you did anything wrong, from what I noticed, the textures just suck.......

#4 Item/weapon placement could be better.

#5 the music is ****ing on the borderline of being tortureous.

#6 the lightning thing looked very odd and I really didnt "get" the point of it.....

but the layout was nice :)

You have to use: "RotatingMover". other movers won't work

About the mover:
Use a RotatingMover, as StoneViper suggests... set it's RotatingMover -> Rotationrate to whatever you like, or leave that alone, and go to Movement -> set FixedRotationDir = true and RotationRate to whatever you want.
Hope this is correct, could've got some names wrong...

I'd suggest going with the rotating mover.
However the problem sounds as if it has to do with the bump detection portion of the script. It's adding the original rotation to the one created by the bump command.
Just a guess.
