can anyone heip with this? I want to raise behindview 1 so that the horizon line is seen through the players head, at eye level, instead of his ass. I've never coded before but I want to start with Uscript and I figured this was a good place to start.

You would have to change the PlayerCalcView() function in the PlayerPawn class. I don't think this is an easy task to start you coder career with...;)

Agreed... I suggest you try to make a small weapon pack or mutator (that's always a good way to get started) and then delve into the depths of third person cameras :).

what about the code in RUNE? i want my camera exactly the same. could i just pull it from there and tweak it? it would be a place to start at least, right?

You can try to copy RUNE's camera positioning. The basic classes from RUNE are the same as in UT, so it should be possible. Good luck :)
But there are easier things to start with :rolleyes:
