About them ad banners

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Some damn fine choices so far folks!I actually caught myself swearing because I went to open a thread only to catch a glimpse of a banner which actually interested me,and lost the banner in the refresh! ;)

lol, that's a first in internet history!

Although, I did find myself refreshing a few times to find that crucial.com ad so I could by a few sticks of RAM. :)

i wouldn't mind seeing ads at the top of the page, either. :)

i'm curious what other's would think of that.

as is, i hardly even see the banners, as i don't usually scroll down far enough.

Not only are they geared toward gamers, they are geared toward where you're connecting from. UK visitors will see some UK ads, Canadian visitors Canadian ads, military visitors will see military-related goodies, .edu folks will see some ads geared toward education.

In addition, we have some special stuff coming out for people who make a large portion of their posts in the editing forums.

The reason for all of this is simple. We want to serve up ads that you can actually *use* to buy stuff. Imagine that! No 'Casino on Net' ads. You should know that we currently don't get a dime for impressions, only if you actually buy something, like Computer Games Magazine, Crucial memory, etc.

So, please do check out what our advertisers have to offer. It's pretty much all quality stuff (I don't know any better memory than Crucial, really), and if you find yourself looking for something we advertise, we would appreciate it if you'd consider buying through our ad links.

I'm waiting to spot it, but I need ram, darnit! :D
You're connected to AOL, which isn't considered a UK ISP.

Would be the ad you're looking for, though... :)

And I can recommend you all to buy your memory directly from Crucial. Even if you don't live in UK or US.
If you live in Europe you should order from Crucial UK as I did.
I ordered my RAM from Crucial UK on late Friday and it's now on it's way home to me.
They have a nice tracking system so you can see where your package are.
