Unreal Tournament LAN Server Setup

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Hi all. Having a bit of a problem with trying to run a LAN server. I have two computers hooked up via an 8 port hub. I want to play UT across the LAN only, no outside internet access. I tried to setup a dedicated server, but to play the game, I had to "join my own server. What is the easiest way to do LAN server, just my two computers, no internet? My son has to go in for cancer treatment soon, and he really wants to play this before then. I would greatly appreciate any help here. I do have network experience, just seen to be missing the wrong point. Thank you in advance for any help.

dont push dedicated unless you have a machine that you will not be using to play (3 computers or more)the game on...If you only have two computers use the fastest and best one to put the server up on...instead of pushing dedicated push the other button (start button)
