Somebody know the number of polys we can use for model a weapon on Unreal2? I need to know that for model some weapon for new mod on Unreal2 =o)...

nobody knows, only legend, and a few people who can run the alpha (i could run it :(

actually the character poly count is anywhere from 2300-2600
I found this out on the Polycount messageboard because a few models this guy made didn't make it into the game because he didn't finish them in time. He showed the poly count was around 2400 polys. Not sure on weapons though

Yeah, 100X - 200X goes for terrain. Models have about 10X as many polys as the models in UT.
From what little we've seen of the game as screenshots, this poly increase is more than enough for most people. What impresses me even more is that mocap (motion capture) technology has been used to animate the models in the game.

I don't think that mocap madders that much. If u got good animation-programmers u don't need good actors. If the actors for the mocap are not really good, the animations won't be good as well.
