Adding player skins to a server

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Armoured Shark

Makes "Jaws" look like a minnow
Every Thursday, one of the guys at work runs an UT server on his machine (he's the only jammy git to have ADSL...). There's about seven of us regular players, and we're now bored with the standard UT skins and quite fancy using custom skins. The server operator is quite happy for us to add skins to his machine.

My question:
If we each e-mail him the skins we want to use, what does he have to do to install them on his machine, and what do the rest of us have to do to be able to see everyone else's skins? There's no problem about everyone having to download the skins beforehand, either.

Cheers!

Most skins ahould be in Umod form, so you just run that on the server machine, and yours too so you don't have to download it to play.

If the artist was upto grade, his/her Umod should setup the serverpackages for you, but if not:

Open system/unrealtournament.ini and serach for "serverpackages". Under the list add "ServerPackages=skinname" and save. Skinname being the filename of the skin file, minus the DOS extension.
