Well U seem to have forgotten to mention INFILTRATION (http://www.planetunreal.com/infiltration). Compared to the others INF is the most realistic in weapons, stamina system, animation and maps. Check it out U.

Not only did Mr.Gibbs not mention INF , Mr. Gibbs also told many untrue facts and also he made up things from his imagination and added these on the text.

Mr. Gibbs obviously hasnt done his homework right.

I mailed Mr. Gibbs a list of mistakes he has written to be changed.

This was a very poor comparison done by someone who hasnt done his research properly.

First there is no best ut mod ever, because each persons tastes are different, personaly I think Serpentine was the best rl mod every. And there are tons of people who think U4e is the best mod ever.

Anyways Gibbs was making a point lack of creatitivtly in mods.

Dear mr Gibbs,

After reading your article about realism mods I was amazed how much errors and untrue facts have been spoken about all the mods.

Since im not the one to speak for the other mods I will begin with our own mod named SAS Into The Lionīs Den or SAS for Short
(first error, you only state: " SAS (SAS))

Second: SAS is a game for two teams set in a real world enviroment unlike witnessed in any mod before! There are two teams, the evil terrorists and the good counter terrorists"

Again this is wrong. First of all the single player campaign , will feature only 1 team in a enviroment of Oposing Forces such as Iraqie , Argentinians, Terrorists and Non playing characters.

Second our Multiplayer game modes will feature 4 teams , SAS Counter Terrorists, SAS Soldiers, Terrorists and Rebel Forces. The models and weapons will change depending on the gametype and map.

Third mistake:Unlike most other mods, you cannot instantly respawn once dead in SAS and must wait until the roud is over

Correction :In the single player campaign you will get the option to save the game , in order to continue later. There is no respawn in the single player campaign and there is no end of round in the single player campaign.

Correction: Furthermore in DM mode you will be able to respawn after you die.

Fourth mistake:No longer are they unrealistically scattered around levels, you now select the weapons you require at the start of the match.

Correction: When the single story unfolds you will be able to recieve better weapons.

Fifth mistake :but beware, only one main weapon and a sidearm may be carried .

Correction : Depends on if you are playing the single player campaign or the multiplayer game modes.

Mistake nr 6:

An aspect that sets SAS out from the crowd is the slowed pace of gameplay. Very few other mods feature such slow gameplay but do not be fooled, it is the most tense gameplay out there!

How do you know these things if the game isnt out yet, how do you know its the most tense gameplay if you havent played it yet.

I can go on with the numerous more mistakes, this is obviously a bad joke and you as a writer has not done his homework properly. Furthermore what bothers me is that WOD contacted me for a interview but never asked me any questions.

We please ask you to change the mistakes in your comparison list asap.

nah smoke. most of us are laughing our asses off right now.
Seymour did not include Infiltration BTW because its not a counterterrorism mod and there aren't near as many alleged similarities. Imagined or otherwise.

BTW, Major. the person who was going to interview you said you seemed very reluctant or something.... go fig. I really look forward to SAS.

By "us" do you mean the people of WoD? I meant excluding "us."

by "us" I mean the entirity of people who have read the article who do not work on one of the mentioned mods.

How do you know these things if the game isnt out yet, how do you know its the most tense gameplay if you havent played it yet.

now that I think about it, I was a bit uneasy about Seymour using SAS to begin with, since its not out and all. Perhaps I should edit all SAS out of his article and pick another CT realism mod.

I thought it was pizz funny, but I'm not sure why he didn't add INF (I'm secretly glad though). Although I disagree that there is a lack of creativity in the production of our collective work, I can still appreciate a joke.

I couldn't be bothered acutally reading the whole thing, I just skimmed and tried to pick out the parts that were different for a specific mod. I suspect I missed half of the funny bits.

Mhhh strange, he contacted me to be authorized on icq to do a interview, I said ok np, sure....

And that was the last I heard of him......
