View Full Version : TacOps 2.0 and MapVote3

Well with the release of TacOps 2.0, MapVote3 doesn't seem to be working 100% anymore.
If people want to vote in the middle of the game that part works fine, but at the end of the game, people are not prompted to vote. The server just loads the next map in the map list without popping up MapVote.
I am curious if anybody has been able to get this working with TacOps 2.0, or if we will need to bribe BDB into making a special version for TacOps 2.0?

Cool, that would be great, because without MapVote, my server just isn't the same.

Ok, I figured out the problem.
The TO team has replaced the base game class code (DeathMatchPlus) with their own. Doh !!!!
MapVote depends on the base game class being "DeathMatchPlus".
So, It looks like I will have to make a special TO MapVote version.
In the mean time I have figured out a way to "Hack" the TacticalOps.ini file and get it to work.
Here is what needs changed in the TacticalOps.ini file:
(Note: I'm only listing the options that need changed)

BDB, we already tried that setting the first time when you were there testing it with me.

OK, appears to be working now. Here are the settings that I used.
Only tested it for one round so far, but these settings seem to make sense.
Thanks for your help BDB, I will be sure to spread the word around about this fix, and I'm still open to a special version of MapVote for TO if you are still up to it.

Sorry, BDB was right about the TieGame fix setting, and I forgot to come back and edit it.
I have edited my previous post, and it works for me MOST of the time, but as BDB has explained to me, this may not work all the time. I guess it all depends on how the round ends.
Let me know if you need anymore help. I will see what I can do.

That works for me :) (sory for such a long cut&paste - i'm lazy)
but i got another problem unreleated do mapvote - server often crashes :(
or spontaniously changes its query port from 7778 to 7783 (weird)

Ok Everyone. I just release TO MapVote.
This version solves all these problems.
