He,

Is there a maximum size for maps? Because when I rebuild my level ( or sometimes just when editing) my system get stuck. I only see the movers and can't do anything anymore.
Or has this to do with my system specs?
The level is only 6,5Mb.
I don't have a clue.

Check you have no lights floating out in the void, if you find any delete them or something, if you can't find any then I recommend backing up your level and selecting all the lights in your level and deleting them. Then rebuild and hope it works, if it does then you only have to redo all the lighting, if it doesn't I pretty much have no idea

What are the specs of the level...post the details from the Rebuild Stats.

I will look for those specs. Don't have the map here at the moment. I'll post a reply as soon as I'm at home.
Thanks for all the help.

I've seen my rebuilds get stuck when doing the leaves for lights. When it does I rebuild with the log up and see what light it gets stuck on and then go find that light in the map using it's number that was listed in the log and see what is wrong with it. Seems to happen with corona lights that have a huge radius that can be seen through a few zones.

Here are the rebuild specs:

Geometry
brushes : 663
zones : -1

BSP
polys : 7447
nodes : 20474
ratio : 2.75 : 1
max depth : 43
avg depth : 3

Lighting
lights : 51 (0)

Paths
-

The zones I don't get. -1???

I've had those issues a while before too. One consistent work-around for me at the time was to:

A) Open the map and then close the 3D viewport.
B) Rebuild and then save. Then check it out.

Another odd thing that would work and is worth a try if the top one doesn't do it:

A) Just rebuild your geometry.
B) Just rebuild your lighting.

Don't know why doing both at once wouldn't work and doing them seperately would, but it has in several other instances.

A couple other things that caused this (in the 436 era) were having lights out in the 'void', or having too many light sources visible in one area. Lastly, I've also encountered what appeared to be corrupt light sources themselves. In this case it was a matter of deleting the most recently placed lights and rebuilding & hoping :p ...

Any suggestions left?

This may seem like a stupid question but you do know that Ued is a subtractive editor, meaning the entire world is a big block of matter and you have to cut rooms out of it. You normally start with -1 zones and the only way I can see for you to still have -1 is if all your brushes are ADDs.

Adding to Zaphrod's post:

The -1 zone thing will happen if you've hidden your subtracted brushes and have 'Only Rebuild Visible Actors' selected.

As for more suggestions, do you have any recent back up builds that don't have that problem? If so then biting the bullet and reverting to it might be the quickest solution.

Not all of my brushes are ADDs, how you can make a level with only adds?

And I haven't the 'Only Rebuild Visible Actors' selected. So I still don't have a clue.

Can I set my level here, so somebody who wants, can take a look at it? ChrisToth already did once in an earlier stadium. And it worked fine there. But now the problem has got worse, and I still don't have a clue.

Is this the same map?

Yeah, I tested it a few weeks ago and the Rebuild was error-free on my rig. Strange.

Yes, it's the same. Only now I've made a castle of it, and duplicated it to the other side, so you have a sort of Face, only now with those two castles. I duplicated all brushes, not the lights and other stuff. So I haven't got a clue. I'll post the map again, you can have a look at it if you want.
My computer just get stuck if I'm flying through the 3D view.

I don't have the map here at school, so I'll try to post it from home. Only I've got a very slow connection at home, so I'm not sure if it will work. If not, then I post it next week.

Thanks for all the help.
