Everytime I´m joining a game and in the connecting process my connection is lost, my frame rate from the max of 25 go to a turbo 70 speed.

LOL, 1100+ What did you have to do to get that? I edited the ini file and turned everything off and set screen size to 320x200 and turned off sound. I was able to maintain a stable 600fps frame rate although the mouse and other things didn't exactly work right.

its possible cos i was checkin the benchmarks for the Athlon 1.3GHz and it had frame rates of 600+

This has been done before.

There's something fishy in the way UT processes maps when you're at that screen maverick, it seems to make things go turbo.

 I got a 120 FPS doing that once. It works on different maps and not all the time either, but considering my average FPS on DM-Morbias ][ without bots is 12, I think there's something wrong with it.

I think there is a problem sometimes with the FPS. My brother was getting 6-7 FPS on a map I made, while I was getting 70 FPS. We both know that his was wrong because his display looked even smoother than mine with not frame loss what-so-ever. There's obviously something wrong with the frame rate counter in some situations.

I just explained this, because of the way UT proccesses maps, Mavericks is of course going to be funky.

Something really weird that I found - if your inbetween maps and viewing the connecting screen with "stat fps" turned on, you (well for me anyways) ALWAYS will render 5 polygons. !??!?!?! WTF?!!? LoL. Its weird....

That's because the connection screen that says Unreal Tournament is a map. You can load it up in the editor an look at it or change it to make your own map. It is UT-Logo-Map.unr

By the way, My frame rate is I posted is real, no glitches or bugs.

I'm sure its "real" as in that's the calculated value the UT engine got, but it's not real, in the sense that you're graphics card actually hit that framerate. Just because the number appears there, doesn't mean it's correct. Like I said, I've seen the numbers "display" 6fps and the screen is more fluid than 50+ fps, obviously showing that the counter can be wrong at times.

that's why I added no Glitches or bugs. I made many modifications and settings changes to get that number making it go up more and more everytime. I am familiar with some of the miscalculations you are refering to but this isn't one of those.

ya, and if you finish a level, press esc, and change the map, of course UT being the great program it is loads the other map first, it says the immediate FPS (whatever) is 0.00 and the average is 1.#
