View Full Version : Any way to merge Unreal and Na Pali?

I mean, really... To install ~400 megs for a mission pack? That's just crazy...

Actually... it's not a mission pack, it's Unreal with less levels. I can install Na Pali all by it's lonesome and it'll play with not a care in the world if Unreal is installed or not...

The actual NEW content is only somewhere around 60-70 megs... the rest is textures, music and sound that all came with Unreal.

Can anyone figure out a why to just drop the new stuff into the appropiate Unreal directorys and run it from there? Or at least someway to share the files between the two games?

Na Pali is nice, but it's installation is SO messed up..... :-/

Ah damn it....

I guess the chances of Epic making the next patch fix this as well is not very likely, huh????

I don't think I'd mind as much if it wasn't called a "Mission Pack"... "Unreal Gaiden" would seem a more accurate title...

Requires Unreal or Unreal Tournament!

No, sorry, can't be done. They use different versions of the Unreal program itself.

Bollox. They probably had to put that down to be able to call it a Mission Pack.

Experiment this
copy all the unreal1 levels to the RTNP maps subfolder, and try an open filename command
I think everything thats in unreal1 is in Na Pali

It can be done, but then to play the original Unreal maps you will have to use the console, and I think Na Pali does something funny when you start the maps.

Should work though, have a go if u want, it's up to you.
