Well IMO before adding dogs(wether they're german sheperds or not) to INF 6.0 you'd better include airstrikes.
How about some A4 Skyhawks and F/A-18 Hornets? With selectable payload.
What price will they be about?
Hornet costs about 50 mio bucks - A4 will be slightly cheaper - german shepherd for only 5000 $?
They cost a hell lot of money.

No, sorry, we'll stick to the dog.

It doesn't need as much fuel as the Hornet (2 bones and a virgin a day) and its ammo is cheaper (none)

It doesn't need radar or IR, it's got integral target acquisation systems.

And when work's done, you can take it home (only few can do that with a Hornet)

How about a Cobra then?
No not the Helo - the snake!

A snake is even cheaper, makes less noise, kills faster, and eats less - just the virgin, you don't need the bones.

In addition to this there is a Snake thing(forgot the exact word) for US special forces - wich is hell of a fun..

BTW:
I slowly start to think you don't like the Hornet, Neo; Maybe this is due to a unsolved inner conflict(bee bite or so) - if you want to talk about it, just post/mail me..

BTW2:
A Hornet wouldn't be that expensive; Just 50 mio $ for plane, some more mio $ for the equipment, some more mio $ for the pilot(those guys are expensive to train); now that would be 78 mio $ for a team consisting of me and a Hornet; Just consider how many AKs the opposite side can buy with this..
So it would be well balanced - if you have enough money for plane, you have to throw stones at the bots - hehe

Boy, to have a German Shepherd in a harness on your chest must mean they are really attacthed to each other. BTW, why is her faceplate so darn big?

Well that explains all, Neo.. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I forgot to mention another pro of the snake:
Snakes don't show up well on infra-red! A dog does!

BTW:
I don't think he lost his MP5 - Hell, does a french officer even use a MP5? I thought they were so damn 'patriotic', they'd rather use french crossbows and poodles(don't know if this one spelled correctly; I mean the funny looking french dog, usually as much styled as their women..)

Whatever - the idea would include not only a human, but also a animal factor in INF 6.0, so include it!

lol, yes, the French GIGN use MP5s. It's the French GSG9 (some sort of)

I think they've decided for these helmets because it protects more of the face and gives a better view.

But that thing must be heavy

Kewl!
If attackers have dogs, then the defenders should have some cats, maybe siamese.
Releasing cats for a dog-threat is like shooting down a redeemer.

Oh boy,
Do you compare any special force of the world to the GSG9? Not that I'd say they're bad or something like that, but some where there before the GSG9 was even thought of.
And ain't the GSG not rather a police squad than military?(don't know if the Grenzschutz is part of the BW, police or indipendent..)

After all I know every country has the best squad - just depends on what you look at. A squad that has never been beaten might probably never have gone into combat..
And I also heard loads of bullshit about some of my friends who served in the military in Austria; some even said that Austria uses the M2HB Browning since WWI or that the STG58(a FN FAL produced by Steyr) was a completely Austrian desing.
I don't give that much about official statements about how good units are..

The GSG9 is a unit from the Bundesgrenzschutz.
It's comparable to the GIGN or the SAS, they train together sometimes /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

It's not really a police unit. The police have their own SEK.

IMO they're good (if you look at the missions they've done) but they will soon be completely replaced by the SEKs. A pity

SAS? poor Germany..
Didn't you hear what happened to the SAS in Desert Storm? And don't let you fool by the fact they've won a anti-guerilla war; the situation over there wasn't comparable to any other I know - just a fool would've lost..
Still I'm sorry to hear about the GSG9 being replaced; specialist anti-terror forces are always kinda must-have, IMO..

PS: What's up with that G36? Does it anything special? I didn't even know it was on this planet until I came to this MB..

The KSK, Germany's CT/hostage rescue/evac unit of the Bundeswehr uses it.

It's comparable to the M4, it's just lighter and has a transparent magazine.

Oh, I forgot:
it has got 2 integral sights. a 3.5x zoom and an aimpoint

And for the GSG9/SAS thing:

that'll never happen to the GSG9. They operate only in Germany.

I didn't say it's sure they'll be replaced but their existance is in jeapady.

But even if they'll be replaced we've still got our SEKs. One in each county.

Ummm, well actually the G36 isn't lighter than the M4... compared to the M4 it's kinda big and bulky, but on a plus side it has a longer barrel, transparent mags, and there are different variations of it (ie, G36 (regular), G36K (CQB), MG36 (machine gun), etc). I don't know "what's special" about it, but it is a reliable weapons system that does alot... that way Germany has it's own, decent assault rifle instead of borrowing someone else's design.

Aren't there transparent mags available for the M16-Series?
I read about perlon-mags(not sure if they're transparent) for the M4s being issued to the Kuwaiti forces.
Still you slowly start to convince me the G36 ain't too bad - although a M4 looks sweeter..
Maybe it'll be included in an weapon add-on..
