Is anyone as pleased as I am by this ?

no

Cars driving around in a circle (more or less) for 2 hours doesn't interest me too much.

Snakeye
11th Mar 2000, 06:27 PM
I prefer Rallye..
Cars driving around a mud road and crashing into trees, turning around in little circles and limping into the finish line with an engine on fire..

BTW:
Does anybody play Gran Turismo 2 out there?
I have it, as well as the original; just asked myself if there are more GT2-Fans in this forum..

Don't have a playstation

I must agree Neo, it seems rather boring driving around in a circle. But in some strange ways I find it very enjoying watching this (as do millions of other f1 fans)

BTW. Neo, is the infiltration theme song coming along ?

I perfer the Le Mans races. Its just cool to see a Viper GTS-R plow into a Panoz going about 180 MPH /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

hi,

yeah I am interested in and I got up sundaymorning to see the first race but bull**** the two mercedes blew up their engines f.... I can´t believe that bmw is so good in the first race. Ok the engine is not so powerfull but stable. I will visit the two races in germany this year!

INF_Neo
13th Mar 2000, 04:25 PM
Aha, I admit, I've never visited such a race. But I can't imagine this is exciting. Oh, there they come ...1 second *rrrrrrrommmmm* 1second...now they're away again.

Lance201
13th Mar 2000, 04:28 PM
that depends of the place you have or what kind of tickets. But you are right the whol race is better seen in the TV.. but the atmosphere is great at the track!

Lance201

Nope, no motorsport

Andirez
13th Mar 2000, 06:31 PM
Actually I didn't mind that the two McLarens went out, I don't like the team much. Yes, BMW did great, it's a shame that Button blew up his engine, he started 21th and ended up 6th before his motor broke down. My personal favorite is the BAR team, and hey they got a point extra now that Salo has been disqualified. I was a little disappointed that the jordans couldn't follow the ferrari's and mclarens, but hey that's real live and much more money I guess...

Now that I think of it, I too like the rally races.

Snakeye

Schumacher, Coulthard 2nd, and that other Benetton guy - no not Wurz, that's the one who never survives the 10th lap - 3rd.

Every two weeks I keep refreshing this topic.
Tomorrow : Imola !!!

Coolest qualifications this season IMHO, the only thing I don't like is that Hakinnen got the pole... again.

You don't like Hakkinen?
Just don't tell me you were happy that this goddamn, M/F, ferrari drivin', asshole Schumacher has won.
If there's one thing I really hate in F1, it's him.
After all the F1 is decided before anybody drives the first race..
They want to make money, not let the best one win..

I prefer Shumi above Hakinnen, not that he's my favorite driver but I just don't like the McLaren team.
A lot of people hate Shumacher, I did to a few years ago, but I came to respect him for his driving skills and not his arrogant face...

Snakeye
11th Apr 2000, 05:21 AM
I too don't like the McLaren team, at least not since Mercedes provides the engines..
The only problem is, that I hate Ferrari even more - together with Schumi that's too much for me..
Last season there was at least Irvine, but now..
And after all Hakkinen is much more sypathetic than Schumi..who surely is an excellent driver! That I don't like him, doesn't mean I don't respect his skills.

Wow, listen to this:

British Formula One driver David Coulthard has escaped death in a plane crash which killed both pilots.
The Scotsman, who won the British Grand Prix nine days ago in his McLaren-Mercedes, suffered slight injuries when the light aircraft came down in flames in France on Tuesday.

Coulthard, girlfriend Heidi Winchelski and his bodyguard were travelling in a private Learjet which crashed on landing at Lyon-Satolas airport.

"They managed to get out of the plane themselves immediately after the crash and were picked up in an ambulance"
Bernard Chaffange, Lyon Airport

The pilot and co-pilot were killed and three of the five passengers, including Coulthard, 29, were taken to Edouard-Herriot Hospital in Lyon.

The racing driver, who is only thought to have suffered minor injuries, was released a short time later.

It is believed Coulthard helped his girlfriend and bodyguard to escape from the wreckage.

MAybe David Coulthards luck is about to change....

schumacher won the monaco. but then he was always strong on that track. damn.

what the heck, its just the qualifiers.

question: why does it seem that although Schumacher has a bigger ego, he seems to take losing better than Hakinnen? Hakinnen always looks like a thunder cloud everytime he loses to Schumacher, even when he seems such a nice guy otherwise?
