The U.S. and Canada: At war...

I just saw on the news that an American ship transporting Canadian military equipment has refused to dock until it receives payment from the Canadian government. They were saying that the Canadian military is considering using force to retrieve it's supplies, and that this might spark a conflict between the U.S. and Canada. I wonder, will a war between our two countries have any affect on the release of Infiltration?

I read about that every day.

One, if a Canadian ship kidnapped American soldiers and equipment, the States wouldn't hesitate to use force, and the Canadian government wouldn't blame them.

If the Canadian government uses force to get back kidnapped soldiers and equipment, I really doubt that a) the American government would care and b) the American government would violate the north atlantic treaty by attacking Canada.

Actually, I hope the Canadian government does issue an order of execution... that would be great!

The supplies are not kidnapped, or hijacked. It's simply a lien.

If you put your **** in a storage rental, and you don't pay your bill they lock your **** up. Nobody calls that "Kidnapping".

If you hire a mechanic to work on your ride and you don't pay him he put's a lien on the title and they don't call that "hijacking".

Just because the delinquent party is the Canadian Military, and the owners of the ship happen to be US citizens (remember Americans are the spawn of Satan) we hear hyperbole like Kidnapped and Hyjacked.


If the Canadian government uses force to retrieve the disputed merchandise, then they deserve some serious jail time, it would be the same as drawing a gun on the manager down at the storage rental place and taking your things by force (in the states you would be arrested for armed robery)

Actually, they're government property. In international water. They are people. That's illegal confinement. They are kidnapped. The property has been hijacked and stolen. That is law. Hopefully the AMERICAN CITIZEN that did it will be shot repeatedly from close range with a C7A1.

Let me get this straight, and please excuse me for my American bias. The Canadian government, due to a lack of cargo ships, conscripted a US-based freighter company (although it really doesn't matter where the company is from) to transport Canadian military supplies and personnel from Kosovo back to Canada. Now apparently the Canadian government is backing out of, or at least refusing to comply with paying the money, so the freighter is refusing to deliver the goods until they get their payment. Again, how is this illegal confinement? With it being in "international waters" does this mean that it is illegal to hold up their end of the deal and wait for the payment they are due? And why doesn't the Canadian government just pay them? I can understand it must suck for the Canadian personnel on board, so I could understand if they let them go, but as far as the cargo, I don't see what is wrong with them holding it until they get their payment. It makes no difference if it's "government property", they conscripted the freighter to transport it which technically means it is the freighter's property until the contract is fulfilled. Again, correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me taking back the **** by force and breaking the contract is a little wrong.

Okay, two things: One, we paid them to take it because they were closer to the source than we were at the time, making them the fastest route. Second, we already paid them. There was some beauracratic **** up, and now the ship owner or some such nonsense is demanding more money than was originally agreed on.
