Well in the past, we had Bad.Mojo to deal with these people but now that he's gone... /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Yes, such people come around quite often, especially those mentioning 'counterstrike'.

But if we are at Bad.Mojo - what happened to him? The last time before my holidays he still was here?

Some time ago, Bad.Mojo posted this in the General Inf forum:

See you guys later

Well, I'm retiring guys. I've got other things to do, other places to be, and this computer is not one of them.

I'm hanging up the name, the sig, the post count, everything. Giving the computer away to charity and getting a
big fat tax receipt in return (since I couldn't find one person, not one, to buy my Athlon 700.)

Anyways, I'm terminating my inet connection too, all that. So your emails might stagnate for a while =).

guess I'll never get to see 2.8/3.0 now, and after my months of waiting, too.

Anyways, you were a great bunch of guys and all that, I really enjoyed talking with you, and i'll seeya round.

OK, OK, so maybe he's still hanging out at these forums, but if he is, he's not showing i

i think in the abscense of mojo, we all need to band together, pool our resources (cynisism) and flame (the mojo way) all the SF lovin', INF bashing bastards to hell.

I consider myself a disciple of the bad.mojo skool, but the bastard never gave me a diploma so i'm still waiting to graduate.
in the meantime i'm putting out the call for a temp. (hopefully) replacement for bad.mojo.

the following is a list of requirements

Must be the real life tyler durden
Must be able to turn anything anyone says against them
that is all

email your resumes

I read an article about this in Swedish PC Gamer. Before the fisrt big, non-beta release, the Counterstrike community was like the inf-community today. A closely knit family with things like manners, common sense and respect for other peoples opinions. Well, as we all know, Counterstrike turned into the Mod of all Mods, and family spirit was washed away. For every guy with manners and decent behaviour, there were ten others shouting things like "pH34r mY l337 5kI11Z". Will this happen to Inf too, once 2.8 and eventually 3.0 hits the streets? I hope not..

Thats just the way of things.

See I'm an old fart, and I remember a world before the internet.

It was a dark time, where we used our 1200baud modems connected to i286 machines and dialed into a local BBS, just so we could plot our daily moves in a text based game called Trade Wars on our little black screens, covered with little amber or green characters. With not a mouse in site.

But it was also a golden age, nothing but basically polite geeks clacking away at our keyboards.

Then came the Internet, and the geeks were no longer tied to the local BBS, now they could contact other geeks around the world. Share ideas! Play Trade Wars! Unite the whole of geekdom! And there was much rejoicing!

Then on a dark day in the 80s AOL was spawn from the 9th ring of hell, and the neophites, the idiots, the non-computer literate masses had access to our precious little cyber world. And they proceeded to trash it, with their ALL CAPS MESSAGES, and their paniced rediculous virus warnings, and their complete lack of manners, or of the etiqute of the geek.

This is the cycle of cyberlife, and it will be repeated here. /infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Hehe I remember when we could all get along with 9.6 kbps modem's and didn't see why we needed anything faster...
Well hopefully the moderators will weed out the trash that may come after 2.8 and 3.0 are released...
