WTF is up with Japanese tourists?

But aren't Orange Julius and urine soaked toilets the essence of the American Mall experiance?


If I go to Japan, I'm not going to go to a mall either. Aren't there museums and historical landmarks that would be more interesting (both here and there)?

Beings that I live in Prince Edward Island we have an abundance of Japaneese tourists in the summer months. (May, June, July, August, September) All because of a book that was written by someone names Lucy Maud Montgomery. The book was called Anne Of Green Gables and it is considered one of the best novels ever written. Although many people do not realise that it was ficticious, they soon build a house here which resembles the discription in the book and named it The Anne of Green Gables house.

Thats not the best part. These tourists are nuts about it. 4 years ago the house was burnt to the ground after an accident and the Japanese government DONATED $6,000,000 US Currency to rebuild the house and refurbish the lost antique furniture that was lost in the fire.

No wait don't think that the Japanese tourists are bad here yet... There is more. There is the following things named after Anne of Green Gables:

No wait it gets better. I have personally SEEN withmy own 2 eyes 3 Japanese tourists in a ****ing FIST FIGHT. And you will never guess what it was over... They were battling to see who could take the first picture of Lucy Maud Montgomery's ****ing grave. Man you think that the japanese tourism there is odd. Come here in the summer. They out populate citizens 2 to 1. Now that is ****ing odd japanese tourism. /infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

An interesting comparison between Japan and the US that means absolutely nothing, but is interesting.

Our Murder and Suicide rates are the same only opposite (that is the Japanese suicide rate is about the same as the US murder rate, and the US suicide rate is about the same as the Japanese murder rate)

the centre of sydney is dominated by japanese, and a few korean tourists, who do nothing but take photos of the green water in the harbour (i love this city, but its stil dirty. The goddamn thing has plastic bags and all sorts of other crpa floating in it on a good day.

then they go into the aquarium with their 5 billion zoom lenses, and flashes the size of car headlights, then proceed take photos of fish, yeah, the ones in front of the no flash photography sign. (its written in, from what i can tell, at least 3 asian languages.)

Then they go shopping with the tour group, but these lovly tour operator are in cahoots with all the asian shopkeepers, so all the other shopowners are missing out on (possibly) up to a few thousand a week. Funnyiest thing is though, department of fair trading wont do jack, coz its a govt. owned dept. and the govt. mkes a ****load from these people.

Japanese whores

This place is ****ing crawling with Japanese tourists in the summer. There are so many that there actually are Japanese prostitutes in the summer. Which is odd because there are no prostitues here any other time. We don't have hookers other than the japs in the summer.

well I love them, because if hotels have a lot of japanese guests they must offer japanese breakfast!!!!!
They are also very funny when they visit old towns or castles in germany... and they always want pictures with themselves in front, as a proof that they had seen this for the people at home... Very very funny because all other tourists always wait until nobody is in their seight and then take the picture. So if you don' like them sent them all to europe so they can amuse us and spent their money here!!!!

About 4 years ago when I was 13 or 14 a japanese tourist paid me $50 to take a picture of them in front of the anne of green gables house. Now that is the kind of spending all tourists should do!
