I think SG Servers needs a new logo...

The problem is that I am artistically inclined as a...well, I can't think of anything with any less artistic skills than me. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Any of you graphics Gurus have any good ideas for a logo. If anyone comes up with a good one, I would forever be in their debt.

As for what it should look like, I have no clue. I know that I like it simple and it should not be a huge file...we get modem users on our page, after all. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

BTW, Styx, I really like that first one. I like the idea of the logo being Infiltrationesque with weapons or something related in the logo.

I really like the bullet logos. I like the shading on the first one better than the second. I also prefer the compression wave behind the first better then the bring orange/red on the second. What I think would look cool would be basically the first one with a bit lighter background and the raised lettering like the second one.

Even better, instead of a lighter background, could you make it a Gif with a Transparent background or would that look bad?

Here ya go.. I think it would look pretty strange if I turned it into a transparent Gif, since the smoke and the fire blends into the background a lot. I don't really have the experience with transparency in Paint Shop Pro either, so if you want to change it yourself it would be fine by me.

Sorry to be a pain. I like the last one a lot, but I think you were right when you put a darker background on it. I think the last one would rock with a black background with a little highlight on the shell coming out of the cartridge.

It amazes me what you folks can do with Paint Shop. I could not imagine having that kind of skill. Baffles me...

I think I like the last one best. That looks really good.

I have a few other people sending me ideas, but I think that last one will be hard to beat.

Any way you can keep that last one but add a little bit of background around the pic so I can work with it to blend it into the black background of my page? Please keep the actual shell and everthing the same, just a bit more of it so I have some room to trim and shade in without messing up the actual foreground graphics.

I really think we have a winner. I will try it on my page today.
