After being frustrated by learning to make levels with UED2 I just reinstalled UT so I can use UED. That program works at least :) There are still a few things I can't find in the editor.
1: How can I use the grid for actors?
2: The cube builder doesn't work right often. I get totally different sizes then I fill in, how do I solve this?
3: Are there other level editors for UT? The way how to resize and reshape brushes is made hard to do I think. It could be much easier like in editors for other games...
Thanks for the help

About the grid, i don't know what you're talking about, with the cube builder, if you have built a cube before, and stretched it or rotated it, then any other shape you make will be stretched/rotated. You need to right - click on the brush and go reset rotating/scaling or whatever.
the other editors are 2D shape editor and the floor lofter. I don't know much about them, but you can use the 2d shape editor to make almost any shape you want apparently.
Just about the grid - if you are wondering what it does, it is how many units a brush will move when you move it. You can change this by right clicking and changing it. the default is 16. you can turn it off by clicking on the grid icon once, so that it doesn't have a grey background if you need to align a brush that won't align with a larger grid.

Ued and Ued2 are very very simple to use when you learn to handle them. I think UnrealEngine is the best engine that I have ever used. So, read tutorials, and learn.
1.There is no grid for actors I think.
2.If you have problems whit brushes, do what Mambo told you. Click RESET ALL.
3.The most powerful editor included whit Ued and Ued2 is 2DShapeEditor. You really don't know what you miss, if you won't use it.

Hey I didn't test it yet but I think the reset button will help a lot :) Have read about it but never realised it would still have effect on a new shape.
Too bad that you can't use the grid for actors. I love precision and hate not to use the grid. It also gives a few problems I think like how do you know if the player_start stands exactly on the floor. The engine seems to do this right automaticly but still...
