About the Aimpoint...?

I Would like to know how does the aimpoint work in RealLife(tm)??? Is it a Visible wavelengt laser or Infrared with IR sensor in the aimpoint system?

Is it something else?

The Aimpoint is not a red dot projection system but simply a scope that prismatically projects an aiming dot as the scopes reticule.

The Aimpoint does not have any LASER or directed radiation projection technology whatsoever.

mp5k, it's a hair smaller than the regualar mp5 or mp5sd. the aimpoint works by using an led that just reflects off the lens. assumming it works like a reflex site such as the adco champ. their not completely visible from a long way but from close range you can see a slight red glare. they also glare really bad in dark lighting, but britghness adjsustment fixes this. i've even seen ones that use colors other than red. the adco champ was available with a green led for awhile.
